1980
May. 18
5.18 Gwangju Democratic Movement held at the CNU main gate.
Jun. 12
10th President, Hang-gi Oh, inaugurated.
1979
Jan. 1
College of Engineering reorganized into College of Chemical Engineering with nine departments.
Nov. 12
College of Liberal Arts and Sciences divided into College of Humanities & Social Sciences and College of Natural Sciences.
Dec. 5
Graduate School of Public Administration established.

Dec. 9
9th President, Jun-shik Min, inaugurated.
1976
Jul. 11
CNU High School established under College of Education.
1975
Jan. 15
Pilot College Program expanded to include College of Law.
Mar. 10
Graduate School of Education opened.
Nov. 5
CNU Middle School established under College of Education.
1974
Mar. 1
Pilot College Program expanded to include Colleges of Engineering, Agriculture, and Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Dec. 9
8th President, Jun-shik Min, inaugurated.

Pilot College Program started with College of Education and College of Commerce.
