CNU, together with CNU Alumni Association and Democratic Alumni Association, encouraged students who successfully went through difficulties derived from COVID-19 by distributing vouchers worth 5,000 KRW.

According to CNU, CNU Alumni Association, and CNU Democracy Alumni Association, they distributed 5,000KRW coupons from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on October 17 to undergraduate and graduate students at four locations including the main gate, east gate, side gate at the College of Engineering, and side gate at the College of Arts of the Yongbong Campus, all on the Yongbong Campus. Two-thousand vouchers were distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

The vouchers were issued through a student ID verification process and students can freely use them until October 21 at stores located on the Yongbong Campus, which are specified on the vouchers, such as cooperatives, bookstores, stationery stores, kiosks, restaurants, and cafes.
In the distribution of free vouchers on October 17, President Jung and key post members such as Choi Hee-dong and Ryu Hye-kyung, the chief executive vice presidents of the CNU Alumni Association, Kim Jeong-hee and Choi Eun-ki, co-chairs of the CNU Democratic Alumni Association, participated along with members of the associations.

The Democratic Alumni Association said, "As the annual Democratic Family Hanmadang event has been canceled for three consecutive years from 2020 due to COVID-19, we have prepared free coupons with the saved budget and joint donations. We hope it will be a small consolation to students who are preparing for the midterm exams.”
