CNU Introduces New Academic Dress

The graduation uniform worn by CNU graduates was produced in-house for the first time since the university was founded.

CNU produced a new graduation attire with CNU's unique characteristics instead of the ready-made attire in the form of monastic garb that has been commonly used by universities across the country, and introduced it in the 72nd Commencement Ceremony held at Minju Maru at 10 a.m. on February 26.

The new academic robes are based on the school color (green) and are designed to reflect the university's symbols and identity, providing a differentiated image.

Notably, the new robes address the discomforts of the previous robes, which were stiff, heavy, excessively thick, and unsuitable for late summer graduation ceremonies (which are held in August). The new robes are made of materials that offer excellent wearability, breathability, durability, and ease of washing.

Additionally, instead of the previous 'square hat' which was solid, the academic caps now feature a hexagonal or octagonal beret shape using velvet material.
