CNU strives to strengthen its competitiveness through the development of its fourteen colleges. In keeping with the university
s development-oriented policy, CNU is faithfully performing its plans. The college development plan is a way to become a stronghold university. On March 14, the deans of 14 colleges at CNU held a meeting to explain their own vision plans and review them. The meeting lasted for six hours. The development plans, visions, objectives and strategies were introduced by each college. The plans aim to meet the highest expectations of student, parents and the community in providing for the academic, social and personal needs of each of CNU
s students. CNU seeks to develop and implement programs of best practice that will ensure that each student will fully participate in the opportunities each college offers. CNU aims to provide a cooperative and supportive workplace for all, where students have the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills and values that empower them to realize their potential, become responsible productive members of society and continue learning. When detailed plans are implemented, each college could strengthen its competitiveness and the university could spend budgets more efficiently on the basis of the plan execution. As an important component of a comprehensive college development plan is assessment of the programs. For this reason, CNU also prepared an assessment meeting along with the explanation meeting. Base on the presentations made by each college, the college plans will be reviewed for their effectiveness. The college development funds will be provided with differential rates according to the assessment rankings. CNU plans to perform an assessment of affiliated organizations on campus as well.
