Won the Grand Prize with Its Item
Monster Board
CNU Center for Business Incubation held a presentation program for the 1st CNU
s Business Plan Competition at the Industrial-Educational Cooperation Building at 2 p.m. on Dec. 1. Along with the presentation program, an awarding ceremony was held at the same place. The grand prize of the Competition was given to ARPURE, a venture group of students from the School of Mechanical System Engineering (Chief: Lee Hoon, senior of the School of Mechanical System Engineering). ARPURE, housing in the CNU Center for Business Incubation, exhibited its product named
the Monster Board with an Engine
at the Competition. The students developed a prototype product of the mountain board with a powered engine, which is designed for all-terrain board riding. The new product gives riders with many useful functions such as speed controlling, braking, and impact absorptions. The recipients of the gold prizes are

. NC exhibited its new game with a game engine and E-Spin COREA developed a filtration technology for the simultaneous removal of nitrate nitrogen and organics in water by using carbon nanofiber-based electrode. The silver prizes were given to the three teams; Mabuwichim which developed a hydrogen gas burner using metal catalysts,

of CIS. The grand prize winner will receive the award of Excellence at the awarding ceremony of Gwangju-Jeonnam TechnoPark Startup Competition, which will be held on Dec. 4. On Nov. 10 the group was awarded the prize of encouragement at the Venture Startup Competition of Korea. The Competition was hosted by Small and Medium Business Administration. The group ARPURE also received the best prize at the 2003 Competition of Students
Venture Item Competition on Sept. 27. The award-winning product will be commercialized in collaboration with a business company of leisure and sports. The CNU Center for Business Incubation will provide every possible support for the award winning teams and they will be allowed to use their own offices in the Center Building.
