CNU Student Council will hold its 1st event for student groups organized for research and/or extracurricular activities. The objective of the event is to stimulate students
interest in various activities of student groups and their accomplishments. According to the results of the group evaluation, selected groups will be offered financial supports with prizes. The total amount of prize money reaches up to 20 million won (approx. $17,000) and the prize money should be used for the group use only. The detailed statements of spending will be included in the evaluation of the next year. The evaluation will be made in six different categories depending on the characteristics of student groups; academy, service, sports, religion, culture, and venture. A group winning the best prize will receive one million won. The best group in each category will receive 500,000 won. Two groups will be selected to receive the second prize with 400,000 won. The third place groups will be awarded 300,000 won and the groups winning the encouragement prizes will receive 200,000 won. Three groups in each category will be selected for the third prize and the encouragement prizes will be awarded to five groups in each category. The registration already ended on Dec. 1. The groups participating in the event should submit statements for document screening by Dec. 6. The awarding ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 11 at the University Administration Bldg.
