Prof. Kang Tae-koo Inaugurated as President of the Korean Academy of International Business

Prof. Kang Tae-koo, Dean of the College of Business Administration, was inaugurated as 16th President of the Korean Academy of International Business as of March 1, 2004. The Korean Academy of International Business (KAIB) has been recognized as a top-notch authority in the area of international business and management. As a professor from a local university, Dean Kang is the first one who heads the KAIB. Dean Kang said, \"In order to enhance the status of the KAIB in the world, I will pursue achieving quantitative and qualitative growth at the same time. I will exert all-out efforts to increase the participation of the whole members. It is necessary to renovate the KAIB

the Journal of International Business
. The strengthening of the connection for research activities between Seoul and local communities should be accompanied for the development of the KAIB. The close network establishment among the members will be promoted.\" Prof. Kang joined the CNU faculty in 1981 and served as Associate Dean in charge of academic affairs of the College of Business Administration. He has been a visiting professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of California-Los Angeles in the United States. He is a former member of the state-run examination committees. He is a member of the board of directors for Korean Academy of International Trade. He is also working as Vice-president of International E-Business Association and as President of the Korean Academy of International Business.
