On Nov. 21, there will be interview tests for the applicants of the 2004 Irregular Freshmen Recruitment. 3,151 successful candidates who passed the first screening round were announced on Nov. 7. The applicant screening procedures of the 2004 Irregular Freshmen Recruitment have two stages: first selection based on applicants
school performances and second based on interview scores. The final selection will be decided by the results of the first screening scores (60%) and interview scores (40%). The interview tests will be given at the site designated by each department on Nov. 21 and the final successful candidates will be announced on Dec. 5. Detailed information on the interview places and other matters can be obtained from the CNU homepage (http://admission.chonnam.ac.kr) from Nov. 17. CNU will select 4,386 students in total for the academic year of 2004. Through the irregular student recruitment system, 1,228 (30% of the total sum) will be selected. The regular recruitment is divided into two recruiting methods:
Ga
group selection, based only on the achievements of the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT), and
Na
group, based on the CSAT results (60%), school performances (30%), and interview test results (10%). 1,212(30%) will be recruited through the
Ga
group regular selection and 1,946 (40%) through the
Na
group selection.
