Biotechnology Research Institute (Director: Prof. Chung Ki-chul, Division of Applied Bioscience & Biotechnology, College of Agriculture & Life Sciences) held its 7th International Academic Symposium in commemoration of its 18th Anniversary. The symposium was held at Agriculture-Industry Cooperation Center on Oct. 28. For the symposium, entitled \"The Trend of Recent Studies on Biotechnology,\" foreign and Korean scholars including many promising scientists were invited to present their studies on biotechnology. These presenters include Cees A.M.J.J. van den Hondel from Leiden University in Netherlands, Dr. Ito Yoshihumi from Food Research Institute in Japan, Dr. Kim Joo-hee from Tea Experiment Station of Jeonnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services, Dr. Kim Mi-hyun from the College of Medicine, Pochon CHA University, and Dr. Park Hee-se from CNU.
