CNU ranked 101st-200th in a recent world university evaluation.

CNU entered the world's 101st-200th ranks in the World University Ranking 2021 announced by THE (Times Higher Education), a UK global university evaluation agency, on April 21.

CNU's ranking last year was in the level of 301st-400th. Even though the number of subject universities of the evaluation this year reached 1,115, an increase of 347 from last year, the ranking of CNU has risen significantly.

THE's World University Ranking is a ranking that evaluates how well universities are committed to the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and highlights universities' social responsibility and future-oriented roles.

CNU participated in 12 required submissions out of 17 items, including △ health and welfare △ quality of education △ sexual equality △ clean energy for all △ sustainable cities and communities, and was evaluated as such.

In particular, it was ranked 15th in the world for quality jobs and economic growth, 33rd in the world for hunger relief and 74th in the world for industry, innovation, and infrastructure.

In the domestic rankings, CNU ranked 2nd in high-quality jobs and economic growth, 1st in the preservation of marine ecosystems, and also 1st in the preservation of terrestrial ecosystems.

President Jung said, “As the social accountability of universities is increasing worldwide, the method of university evaluation is also changing. We will continue to strive to make CNU a university that contributes not only to education and research, but also to the development of local communities and the creation of social values.”
