CNU's AI education was evaluated as one of the unique features of CNU prominent among domestic universities.

CNU was recognized for its excellence in AI education during the 391st National Assembly Audit held at the National Assembly on October 19. National Assembly Member Ahn Min-seok (Democratic Party) said “CNU is unparalleled in AI education among domestic universities” and suggested expanding it further.

Assemblyman Ahn said on the same day, “CNU is taking a more proactive approach than any other university in Korea in AI education, such as by opening the first convergence department in Korea, establishing the College of AI Convergence and securing professors from relevant fields of research.” In addition, he asked CNU to establish and expand a cooperative model with other universities in addition to the 'Moonlight AI Alliance' established by the two education offices in Gwangju and Daegu.

In response, President Jung said, "CNU has been leading and steadily preparing and implementing AI education since the days of the former president and recently, it has been expanding exchange programs with Kyungpook National University for cooperation on the establishment of the Graduate School of Science."

President Jung added, “Our university was established in 1952 by combining national, public, and private educational institutions and it seems that it already has the DNA of convergence from birth.” He also mentioned the importance of the necessity of convergence studies including AI and other cutting-edge technologies.

Meanwhile, during this particular state audit, various agendas were set which are common in many universities, along with development plans for higher education, such as ▲ the treatment of researchers at affiliated research institutes, ▲ the operation of the Animal Experiment Ethics Committee, ▲ safety protocols for cleaning workers, ▲ transparency in professor recruitment, and ▲ sexual abuse cases in school.
