Start-up companies established by professors and graduate students from CNU showcased their outstanding technological and research capabilities at the "AFTER 2023! Agricultural, Forestry, Livestock, and Food Science and Technology Exhibition," hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs.

Among them, ▲ Professor Kim Du-woon, founder of Bio3S, introduced "Noro-X," a hand sanitizer effective in washing away norovirus, and ▲ Professor Han Yeon-soo, who founded InVIRUStech along with graduate students from the Department of Applied Biology, introduced a "Low-Cost High-Efficiency Molecular Diagnosis Solution," a technology to remove PCR inhibitors and accurately diagnose infectious diseases like viruses at low cost.

Moreover, ▲ Professor Kim Jang-ho (Department of Convergence Biosystems Engineering), founder of NanoBioSystem, introduced advanced regenerative materials that regenerate damaged human and animal tissues based on nanolithography, nano pesticides that improve herbicidal and insecticidal effects, and nanoporous food packaging materials that improve fruit storage quality of stored fruits. The technologies received an investment offer in the exhibition.

▲ Professor Son Hyoung-il's research team in the Department of Convergence Biosystems Engineering exhibited various agricultural cluster robot systems for harvesting, transportation, and irrigation, as well as a drone for tracking wasps. ▲ EcoSalt, a company that received technology transfers from Professor Cho Jeong-yong (Division of Food Technology, Biotechnology & Agrochemistry), attracted visitors with an automated processing technology for sea salt, which removes impurities such as brine and microplastics from sea salt.
