CNU has obtained certification from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) from the Korea National Institute for Bioethics Policy of the Ministry of Health and Welfare. It is valid until November 29, 2026.

The CNU Institutional Review Board of Bioethics, led by Professor Hwang Yun-chan, successfully completed the three-stage evaluation process of document review, on-site examination, and comprehensive assessment, meeting all 40 detailed evaluation criteria in five categories. The certification attests to the exemplary research environment maintained by the university.

The IRB evaluation and certification system is designed to assess whether institutions conducting research on human and human-derived materials, embryos, or genetic research comply with ethical research standards in accordance with the laws on bioethics and safety.
