CNU has garnered attention by publishing its inaugural 2023 CNU Sustainable Development Report, summarizing the implementation status of sustainable development.

As the need for a joint global response to crises such as climate change increases, the university developed this report to self-assess its commitment to ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) from the perspective of sustainable growth.

The report is based on the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and outlines the university's major contributions and achievements for sustainable development at the campus, regional, national, and global levels.

In April of this year, CNU established the CNU Sustainable ESG Committee centered around the highest decision-making body on campus, the Academic Affairs Council. The university is concretely formulating ESG education and management practices for sustainable growth perspectives, focusing on its fundamental role as an educational institution.

In this report, CNU presented environmental research for sustainable growth, contributions to regional and national industrial innovation and infrastructure construction for sustainable social development, and the establishment of transparent governance structures through partnerships between the university and the region as representative practical goals.

Through this report, CNU aims to organize its past efforts in sustainable development and establish specific criteria for future sustainable development policies and program operations.

Furthermore, the university plans to conduct self-diagnosis and evaluation of the university's sustainable development implementation status annually, starting from the release of this report.
