CNU recognized and commended the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International) Committee of the College of Business Administration as the CNU Member of The Month on November 29 for its contributions to the internationalization of the university by obtaining AACSB reaccreditation.
During the award ceremony, attended by Vice Dean Jeon Woo-young of the College of Business Administration, Chairman Kim Jae-ho, Vice Chairman Bae Kwang-il, and other members of the AACSB Committee expressed gratitude for the university's support and requested continued interest.
The AACSB accreditation is an international accreditation system for business education institutions. It was established in 1916 by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), a non-profit organization founded by deans of major universities in the USA. AACSB assesses and certifies colleges of business administration based on various indicators, making a decision on reaccreditation every five years.
Since obtaining AACSB accreditation for the first time in 2012, CNU centered around the AACSB Committee of the College of Business Administration and has received reaccreditation for the third consecutive time this year.
Chairman Kim Jae-ho said, "As AACSB accreditation is essential for activities such as students obtaining dual degrees from foreign universities and professors exchanging with overseas universities, we will operate even more solidly. This will contribute to the overall internationalization of CNU."
President Jung congratulated and thanked the AACSB Committee of the College of Business Administration and faculty members for their efforts to maintain international certification despite challenging circumstances. He expressed expectations for a greater role in meeting increasingly higher internationalization benchmarks in the future.
