12.3.1 campus waste tracking

Chonnam National University complies with the Waste Management Act by systematically managing and transparently processing various types of waste. It regularly measures waste discharge and processing performance, reporting to the North Gwangju City Hall. This process formally verifies the university's commitment to environmental protection and collaboration with the local community. These reports are a critical procedure to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and proper management of waste generated within the university.

※ Waste Management Act: Aims to reduce waste, increase recycling, and ensure proper waste disposal. The law introduced a volume-based waste fee system for domestic and industrial waste, regulates systematic waste stream management, and encourages recycling and resource conservation.
