[Strategies for the Future of the Community in a Rapidly Changing Era]
 
A large-scale forum discussing the future of higher education and regional universities in Korea took place at Chonnam National University's convention hall. Hosted by Chonnam National University on January 18th at 2 PM, the forum addressed 'Strategies for the Future of the Community in a Rapidly Changing Era'. The forum was attended by Vice Premier and Minister of Education Yoo Eun-hye, National Balance Development Committee Chairman Kim Sa-yeol, Gwangju Mayor Lee Yong-sup, Jeollanam-do Governor Kim Young-rok, Congressmen Seo Dong-yong and Yoon Young-deok, along with presidents from approximately 20 universities. Professors Cho Young-tae from Seoul National University and Ma Kang-rae from Chung-Ang University were in charge of the presentations, while a comprehensive discussion led by Chonnam National University President Jeong Seong-taek featured various panels that discussed real-world educational issues, policy support measures, and practical alternatives.
