[The Gwangju International Development Cooperation Center]
 

The Gwangju International Development Cooperation Center at Chonnam National University was established at Chonnam National University through a tripartite business cooperation agreement between Chonnam National University, Gwangju Metropolitan City, and the Korea International Cooperation Agency. It is an important institution that conducts research and education on international development cooperation and environmental issues. This center hosts seminars and educational programs on international climate and environmental issues and carries out policies and research related to the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). It also plays a role in promoting sustainable development in cooperation with the local community.

[14th Agri1st Research Meeting]
 

The 14th Agri1st Research Meeting (ARM) hosted by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences aims to introduce various research fields to internal and external speakers, fostering collaboration opportunities among researchers. The event will be held on February 24, 2022, both in person at the College's venue and via Zoom. The presentations will cover topics such as the status and prospects of agricultural technology-based ODA projects and the processes involved in international development cooperation projects related to agricultural development.
 
[Regular ODA Education Basic Course]

 
The Regular ODA (Official Development Assistance) Education Basic Course for 2022 was held. This course is designed to understand the basic concepts related to ODA and international development cooperation, covering a wide range of topics associated with international development. It is attended by university students, civil servants, business professionals, and anyone interested in international development cooperation. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate co-signed by the director of the International Development Cooperation Center and the head of the KOICA ODA Education Center. This education is expected to contribute to promoting participation in the international development sector following the increase of the South Korean government's ODA budget.
 
[International Development Cooperation Practitioner Workshop]
 

Chonnam National University hosted a workshop for the discovery of ODA (Official Development Assistance) projects. The event took place at Chonnam National University's G&R Hub on November 15, 2022, targeting practitioners and citizens from enterprises, universities, research institutes, and civic groups. The workshop is scheduled to introduce topics such as the KOICA private-public partnership incubating program and practical experiences with ODA projects. The event is co-hosted by Gwangju Metropolitan City and the Gwangju International Development Cooperation Center to gather field opinions and promote public-private cooperation.
 
[UNICEF Gwangju Development Strategy]
 

The Gwangju City Council and Chonnam National University jointly held a forum on 'UNICEF Gwangju and its Development Strategies.' Participants included the Gwangju City Council, Gwangju International Development Cooperation Center of Chonnam National University, Gwangju Support Division for Children's Centers, the Peace Unification and Diplomacy Center's International Development Cooperation Research Association, and the Gwangju Metropolitan City Social Service Agency. The forum discussed the amendment of local regulations related to child protection, expressing the will to actively respond and recognize children as rights holders and make policy improvements when necessary.
