[Symposium on Climate Change and Forest Cooperation between North and South Korea]
On January 26, Chonnam National University hosted a symposium on climate change and forest cooperation between North and South Korea at the Ramada Plaza Gwangju Hotel. Co-organized by the Ministry of Unification and the Korea Forest Service, the event featured discussions on climate change response, regional forest resource utilization, cultivation of high-value forest mushrooms, and more. [Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the Himalayas]

[East Timor International Development Cooperation and Peace ODA Seminar]
Chonnam National University marked its 70th founding anniversary and the 42nd anniversary of the May 18 Gwangju Democratization Movement with a seminar reflecting on 20 years of East Timor's independence, focusing on international development and peacekeeping ODA efforts. The university's Gwangju International Development Cooperation Center organized this event to discuss South Korea's contributions to peacekeeping and development in East Timor, educational support for East Timorese students, and the creation of the Kim Dae-jung Peace Center. The seminar served as a platform to deliberate on how to advance local ODA projects that embody the democratic, human rights, and peace values championed by Gwangju City and Chonnam National University, particularly in higher education and sectors such as marine, agriculture, and healthcare development.

[Carbon Neutrality and Reduction Measures Seminar]
A seminar on carbon neutrality and reduction measures was held to respond to the 2050 carbon neutrality government policy and rapidly changing climate conditions. Discussions included the establishment of a CCU demonstration support center and dust control technology. The technology exchange is expected to complement other technologies and contribute to the development of the local environmental industry.

[ESG Briefing]
The 'ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) Briefing' was a session to share domestic and international trends and strategies related to ESG, contributing to sustainable corporate management.
