[Yeosu Central Hospital, Medical Designated Hospital Agreement Signed]
 
Chonnam National University has signed a medical designated hospital agreement with Yeosu Central Hospital (Hospital Director Ki-Joo Park).
 
Chonnam National University and Yeosu Central Hospital have agreed to provide the best medical services, including outpatient and inpatient treatment discounts for university members, and to explore various ways for mutual development.
 
Chonnam National University's Yeosu Campus also has medical designated hospital agreements with Yeosu Chonnam Hospital and Jeil Hospital.

[Medical Device Non-Clinical Testing Institution (GLP) Designation]

Chonnam National University's Biomedical Testing Research Center (Center Director Sang-Won Park) has been designated as a non-clinical testing institution (GLP) for medical devices by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
 
Non-clinical testing institutions perform cytotoxicity tests (leachate tests/tests by indirect contact). It has become specialized in handling biological safety evaluations required for certification of dental materials and biomedical devices.
 
GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) is a set of regulations for organizing and systematically managing research personnel, experimental facilities, equipment, test methods, etc., to ensure the reliability of safety evaluations needed in areas such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and cosmetics.

[Selected for Bio×Medical Technology Development Project]
 
Professor Young-Geun Ahn's team from Chonnam National University (College of Medicine) has been selected for the Bio×Medical Technology Development Project by the Ministry of Science and ICT.
 
Professor Ahn's team at Chonnam National University decided to undertake the development of ischemic heart failure prediction technologies using clinical data and the development of an extracorporeal model of human heart disease, through the 'MyHeart Platform-Based Heart Failure Control and Treatment Technology Development Research', to verify and commercialize heart failure treatments.

[International Aging Symposium]

The 16th International Aging Symposium was hosted by Chonnam National University's College of Medicine, Center for Geriatric Medicine, and Institute for Aging Science, sponsored by Hwasun County, Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital, and Chonnam National University Hospital Institute for Biomedical Science.
 
Held at the Biomedical Science Convergence Center on the Hwasun Campus of Chonnam National University's College of Medicine, about 200 domestic and international experts on aging, universities, academic societies, and health and welfare officials participated both online and offline.
 
The International Aging Symposium is a representative annual academic event that integrates various fields such as geriatric medicine, gerontology, senior welfare, nursing, and social policy, with professors, researchers, and medical professionals researching aging as the main axis.
