[Life Sharing Blood Donation Campaign]

In celebration of the 70th anniversary of its founding, Chonnam National University hosted a "Hand in Hand Life Sharing Blood Donation Campaign." The Korean Red Cross Gwangju-Jeonnam Blood Center's mobile blood donation vehicle visited the Yeosu Campus from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the event proceeded with epidemic prevention rules such as body temperature measurement, mask-wearing, and hand sanitizing in place.

The Yeosu Campus of Chonnam National University warmed the end of the year by delivering about 350 blood donation certificates collected through the blood donation campaign to three hospitals in the Yeosu area.

On December 20th, the Yeosu Campus of Chonnam National University delivered 351 blood donation certificates to the Yeosu Chonnam Hospital (Director Jong-gil Jeong), Yeosu Central Hospital (Director Ki-joo Park), and Jeil Hospital (Director Byung-seok Kang) (pictured from left), with each receiving 117 certificates.

[Medical Volunteer Work in Gaegado, Heuksan-myeon, Sinan County]

Gaegado in Heuksan-myeon, Sinan County lacks personnel to provide dental care to residents, apart from the public health physicians working at the health center.
Residents receive simple treatments on the island and go to Mokpo for most of their medical care.
Therefore, the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Chonnam National University Graduate School of Dentistry visited the medically underserved area of Gaegado to provide dental care and oral hygiene education to the residents.
