Chonnam National University operates numerous programs to support the mental health of students and staff.
 
[Chonnam National University Student Life Counseling Center]
 

The Student Life Counseling Center was established to facilitate the holistic growth of university students, smooth adaptation to school life, and preparation for social advancement through counseling.
 
The center is a dedicated institution that performs services for the mental health of students and staff, including 1. various psychological tests, 2. crisis counseling such as for suicide and substance abuse, 3. counseling and psychological testing for faculty and their children.

[Mental Health Promotion Program]
 
Chonnam National University operates a mental health promotion program for its students.
 
"Mind Blossoming Group Counseling": A counseling program for students struggling with their academic performance and adaptation to university life due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation.
 
"Mental Health Prevention": Programs include prevention of gambling problems, suicide prevention, prevention of smartphone and internet dependency, and alcohol addiction prevention.
 
"Mental Health Status Survey": Conducts surveys on the mental health status of students and the demand for psychological counseling programs.

[Healing Camp]
 

Chonnam National University operates a 2-day intensive group counseling healing camp to promote mental health for the adaptation to university life and self-growth.
 
Experts in counseling work with students on self-reflection, understanding oneself and others, and emotional expression training, and the program is designed to heal past traumas and wounds.

[Harmony Workshop]
 
Chonnam National University holds annual workshops to enhance organizational competitiveness through stress management and improvement of psychological health levels for staff members. Approximately 500 employees participate in this large-scale workshop.

[Dormitory Student Mental Health Campaign]
 
This was conducted to create a pleasant living environment for dormitory residents and to support university life.
The main contents of the program include gambling addiction and smoking cessation programs.

[Joint Campaign for Mental Health]
 

Chonnam National University conducted a joint counseling program campaign called 'My Precious Mind' targeting its students.
 
The campaign took place at the Raonnuri Student Union building on the Yeosu Campus and allowed self-diagnosis of various addictive behaviors such as smartphones, alcohol, gambling, etc., with on-site help from experts.
 
The campaign included Chonnam National University's Yeosu Campus as well as Yeosu City Addiction Management Integrated Support Center, Yeosu City Health Office (Chronic Team), Yeosu City Mental Health Welfare Center, Jeonnam Smart Rest Center, and the Korea Center for Gambling Problems Gwangju-Jeonnam Center.
