[Chonnam National University Guidelines for the Prevention and Handling of Human Rights Violations and Discrimination]
 
Chonnam National University has established guidelines for the prevention and handling of human rights violations and discrimination.
 
The act of discrimination is defined as any conduct that disadvantages individuals or creates an unfair environment based on "sex", race, skin color, language, religion, political or other opinions, national or social origin, membership in a minority group, property, birth, or any other status.

The university manages and supports the increased participation of female faculty in internal decision-making bodies.
 
Support for Increased Participation of Female Faculty in Internal Decision-making Bodies
 
1. The Personnel Committee includes at least 20% female members.
"Chonnam National University Faculty Personnel Regulations," Article 6, Paragraph 2
2. The Finance Committee regulation amendment to include at least 20% female members has been completed.
3. The University Council considers female members as a priority for new appointments or replacements, significantly increasing the number and proportion of female members from 2021 (1 member, 10%) to 2022 (4 members, 20%).

4. The Gender Equality Committee for Faculty Appointment includes at least 30% female members.
