5.6.4 childcare facilities for studentses

Chonnam National University operates an on-site daycare center to support the care of infants and young children within the university and the local community, fostering an environment where both men and women, including couples, can devote themselves to their work while achieving gender equality.

The eligibility for admission to the daycare center is primarily for the children of members of Chonnam National University, including students, faculty, part-time lecturers, contract employees, and also the children of employees of Kwangju Bank.

The daycare center also operates various parent participation activities:

Family Love Activity
Purpose: To allow parents and children to experience traditional games at various spots within the daycare, fostering family-friendly activities through communication between parents, children, and across generations.

Parent's Workplace Visit
Purpose: In celebration of May's Family Month, to express gratitude by visiting the parents’ workplaces within the university, understand and experience the various professions by seeing and hearing about the parents' work firsthand.

Lunchbox Date
Purpose: Using lunchtime for parents and children to enjoy meals provided by the daycare (such as kimbap, inari sushi, dessert) together at places within the university campus other than the restaurant or daycare dining hall, facilitating communication between parent and child, experiencing the seasonal weather, and strengthening family bonds.
