Chonnam National University aims to make basic services accessible to all members of society. Here, 'basic services' refer to essential services such as education, healthcare, and housing.

Chonnam National University delivered consolation goods to local social welfare facilities in celebration of the holiday season. Visits were made to ten facilities including Emmaus House in Buk-gu Geumho-ro, Mire House in Buk-gu Daecheon-dong, Happy Rehabilitation Center in Dong-gu Hak-dong, Vision Community Child Center in Buk-gu Duam-dong, and Labri Daycare Center in Nam-gu Jowol-dong, where consolation money was delivered along with a letter of sympathy from Chancellor Jeong Seong-Taek.
Furthermore, in Yeosu, Vice-Chancellor Jo Ki-Ryang visited four social welfare facilities on January 19th, including the Yeosu City Disabled Welfare Center and the Mipyeong General Social Welfare Center, delivering donations collected with sincerity from the university staff and offering encouragement to the facility personnel.

Chonnam National University collaborated with the 'Association for Welfare of People with Severe Disabilities' in volunteering activities, including replacing old furniture for enrolled students.
Chonnam National University and the Gwangju Service Group of the Association (led by Kim Young-Wook) visited the home of a College of Engineering student A, whose both parents are persons with disabilities, to replace old furniture, help with tidying up the house, and also provided a scholarship.
The Association for Welfare of People with Severe Disabilities employs people with severe disabilities to support their self-reliance and provides various health and welfare services to marginalized and vulnerable groups within the community. It is the only severe disability production facility in the Honam region that manufactures furniture directly.
