[Guidelines for Reducing Single-Use Products in Public Institutions]

Chonnam National University, as a public institution, is actively promoting and implementing guidelines to reduce the use of single-use products to lead by example in environmental protection. The university disseminates the importance of these guidelines among staff and students and enforces various policies to minimize the use of disposable items on campus. For example, it encourages the use of reusable cups and plates during events and meetings, and eco-friendly packaging in campus dining facilities. Furthermore, the university aims to demonstrate exemplary community practices and encourage responsible behavior for sustainable environmental stewardship.

[Resource Recycling Robot]

In response to the international concern over climate crisis, resource depletion, and environmental pollution, and its emergence as a local issue, the university has installed a resource recycling robot. This robot collects clear PET bottles and cans, and points are awarded to individuals who participate in the recycling process.

[Kipunmul Campaign]

Chonnam National University conducted the "Kipunmul Campaign," a no-plastic campaign. It is a movement to drink water from paper packs instead of plastic bottles, promoting environmentally friendly water consumption.

[Student Environmental Assistants - Eco-Friends]

Chonnam National University operates the 'Eco-Friends' program to raise environmental awareness among students and encourage eco-friendly activities on campus. This program involves students actively participating in planning and conducting various environmental protection activities. Key activities include campaigns for separating waste, establishing practical solutions to reduce waste, participating in school policies, setting up energy-saving and recycling promotional strategies for the 'Eco-Campus' initiative, and creating various promotional materials for campus activities. This provides students with deeper involvement in environmental issues, increases interest in the university's 'Eco-Campus' project, and offers opportunities to participate directly in the school's policies and projects.
