8.2.1 employment practice living wage

At Chonnam National University, all workers (staff, professors, etc.) are paid a fair wage, and the university strives to ensure a level of real wages that accounts for fluctuations in the cost of living.

The guidelines for wage payments are documented, establishing the principle that the basic salary and total wages of faculty and staff cannot be reduced for any reason.

There are no workers who receive wages without basis in these guidelines, and all workers are protected through them.

[Chonnam National University Lecture Fees Payment Guidelines]

These guidelines describe the rules for the payment of lecture fees at Chonnam National University, and each clause specifies details such as the targets for payment, rates, calculation of time, and timing of payments. They include definitions of different types of lectures such as special lectures, regular lectures, special topic lectures, remote lectures, large class lectures, native language lectures, and excess lectures, along with the criteria for payment of lecture fees for each.

For example, the lecture hours are generally calculated based on a 15-week semester, and the principle is to pay the lecture fees within a certain number of hours per week. There are special cases for the payment of lecture fees, such as during examination times or emergencies like disasters, where fees can still be paid, and additional fees may be paid for large lectures.
