Chonnam National University is enhancing support through a customized mentoring program for students and faculty staff groups with low representation. The program pays attention to individual needs and experiences and aims to facilitate academic achievement and workplace growth for participants. Mentoring offers support in various areas of school life, with a focus on academics, career development, and social networking. Such support aims to improve school life adaptation and overall well-being for underrepresented groups, playing a crucial role in strengthening the diversity and inclusiveness of Chonnam National University.

Freshmen Dream Growth Mentoring
The Freshmen Dream Growth Mentoring program is conducted to help new students, including transfer students, adapt well to college life and improve their college adjustment skills.
Activity content: Providing information on scholarships, overseas studies, career and job preparation, and campus facilities, etc.

New Employee Mentoring
New Employee Mentoring is designed to strengthen the sense of belonging and cohesion as a member of the university organization, and to induce rapid organizational adaptation through understanding of university organization and administration, elevating the role and responsibility as a new or transferred employee.
Activity content: Counseling, providing information about campus facilities, sharing work tips, etc.

Faculty Development Program: Hwai Bu Dong
Hwai Bu Dong means "to live in harmony with others without compromising one's principles." It embodies the hope that new faculty will harmoniously coexist with colleagues and other faculty members while maintaining their educational philosophy and effectively absorbing good practices for their teaching.

Programs Specialized for Female Students
1. "Career and Job Stories“
This program was operated to enhance the professional competence and job adaptation skills of young female professionals through sharing various cases of women’s social advancement. It also aimed to lay the foundation for life planning and boost confidence through stories from senior women about career development and career management at different life stages.
2. Female Engineering Talent Fostering (WE-UP) Program
This program was conducted to cultivate global female engineering professionals tailored to industry demands, enhancing core competencies tailored to the field and practical skills. The program included "Do it Yourself & Together Project," "Encouragement Camp," "Female Leader Invitation Mentoring," "Professional Research Talent Support," and "Next-Generation Female Leadership Education."
3. Overseas/Multinational Company Job Mentoring
The program, specialized for female students, was operated to improve the understanding of jobs in multinational companies through job mentoring and to ease the fear of entering foreign companies through practical education.

The Buddy Program is designed to help international undergraduate and exchange students adapt to university life and enhance academic achievement by pairing them with Korean partner students.
Activity content: Assistance with class registration and scheduling, notification of important information from the OIA, employment support teams, departments, and Gwangju city tours, etc.
